Ashley Vachon is a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) at Family Counseling Associates. She provides evaluation, consultation, as well as individual and family therapy to children (3+ years), adolescents, and their families. She specializes in working with children and adolescents experiencing adjustment disorder, anxiety, depression, challenging behaviors, attention deficits, and social difficulties, as well as children and adolescents who have autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental disabilities. Moreover, she supports children and adolescents who have experienced loss, grief, and trauma. Drawing from a number of evidence-based practices, she utilizes a strengths-based, trauma-informed, person-in-environment framework to create an individualized treatment plan based on the needs of each individual and family. These modalities include cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Ms. Vachon works closely with the child’s family, teachers, and other providers to ensure the physical and emotional needs of the child and family are addressed. She also serves as an integrated care team member at Children’s Medical Office of North Andover where she provides evaluation, consultation, brief and intermittent treatment, triage, and referral guidance as a primary care team member.
