Dr. Dan Summers

Daniel A. Summers, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Dr. Summers joined CMO in 2010, and became a Full Partner in 2012.

Dr. Summers graduated from both college and medical school at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He then moved to New York City, where he completed his pediatric residency at NYU Medical Center & Bellevue Hospital in 2002, followed by an adolescent medicine fellowship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center which he finished in 2005. From 2005 to 2010 he was practicing pediatrician with Kennebec Pediatrics in Augusta, Maine. Dr. Summers is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. He is available to see patients of all ages, but we are excited at the additional experience & expertise in adolescent health care issues that he adds to our staff.

Dr. Summers is helping us to expand our offerings for teenagers and their parents on our website, and has written a very helpful article about pelvic exams in teenagers. If you are the parent of a teenage (or soon-to-be teenage) girl, you may want to take a look.

Dr. Summers is on-staff at Children’s Hospital, and MassGeneral Hospital for Children. Dr.’s Summers, Winterkorn, Poulter and Lewin  – along with our PNP’s Marnie, Tina, Jacky and Emily -work closely together. Dr. Summers shares our belief that in order to give quality care, a group practice needs to be more than individual providers sharing office space. Our goal instead is to be cohesive in practice and philosophy, so that when you see any one of us, you can be sure you’re getting the benefit of our collective expertise.
