CMO Welcomes Dr Erica Mazzone to our Wellness Center this Fall
Erica Mazzone, PhD, is a licensed psychologist who received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Loma Linda University in 2025. She completed both her APA-accredited internship (in Health Service Psychology) and postdoctoral fellowship (in the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Program) at Boston Children’s Hospital.
As a pediatric psychologist, Dr. Mazzone is passionate about the intersection of mental and physical health and helping children, adolescents, and families navigate the emotional and behavioral challenges that can accompany medical, developmental, and psychological concerns. She primarily utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions and incorporates dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills to support youth in developing effective coping strategies and building resilience. Dr. Mazzone has specialized experience in medical coping, chronic pain management, sleep concerns, treatment adherence, anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment to health conditions. She also brings training in psychological and neuropsychological assessment, allowing her to collaborate effectively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary providers to ensure children receive comprehensive, coordinated care.
Throughout her clinical and research training, Dr. Mazzone has remained committed to advancing health equity and improving access to high-quality behavioral health services for underserved youth and families. Her professional interests include early intervention, integrated behavioral health care, and strengthening partnerships among healthcare systems, schools, and community supports to help children thrive.
